Introduction to Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and acupuncture; a brief overview of how it works, common indications for its use, and how it benefits animal patients.

Presenting a basic overview of common veterinary holistic modalities, including herbal medicine. Understand how and why they are used, and how they could be incorporated into your practice.

 

 

Endoscopy Laboratory
Endoscopy can be a very important and useful tool in diagnosing a treating a number of different gastrointestinal disorders. In this lab we will cover the basics of how to operate a flexible GI endoscopy, as well as perform GI biopsies and cover different methods of removing esophageal and gastric foreign bodies.

Radiadology
Lab
Learn how to take full mouth radiographs in only a few hours. This is a wet lab in which which demonstrates proper positioning and exposure technique for dental radiology. We will utilize the simplified technique , making radiology easy and fun. Proper development procedures and storage will also be discussed.

This is a hands on wetlab on the performance of a complete dental prophylaxis and basic periodontal therapy. Subjects include: thorough supra and sub gingival cleaning (with an emphasis on hand scaling) and polishing, fluoride therapy, homecare instruction, recognition of pathology, and treatment options

Lab
Hands on laboratory on the performance of periodontal surgery in the small animal veterinary patient. Indications, equipment, and techniques will be covered in detail. Flaps, Open curettage, and guided tissue regeneration will be discussed in detail.
